Beverly Ann Simley of Charleston was found shot dead outside of The Bird House Cafe and Lounge on Sixth Avenue in Charleston’s West Side early Tuesday morning. According to an article in the Charleston Gazette, Ms. Simley was a bartender at the business and was well liked by neighbors and area business owners.
Police reported that Ms. Simley sustained at least one gunshot wound and was found in her car outside of the bar by a bus driver around 4:30 in the morning. Police are asking for anyone with information to call (304) 348-6480.
